The new faces behind the chair
welcoming new stylists to salon cheveux: Meet Kaylee & Kylie
New faces, two different styles, and an entire Cheveux team behind them.
If you’ve noticed a few new faces around Salon Cheveux lately, it’s time we properly introduce you.
Kaylee and Kylie have been settling into life at Cheveux — taking guests, continuing their education, shadowing our experienced stylists and beginning to build relationships with many of you.
And while they may be newer faces around the salon, they aren’t navigating the beginning of their careers alone. At SALON Cheveux, we believe becoming a great stylist doesn’t stop when cosmetology school ends. In many ways, that’s when the real learning begins.
From Cosmetology School to Cheveux
When a stylist joins our team after graduation, we continue their education in-house. Our newer stylists learn our consultation and guest experience standards, salon systems, service timing, product knowledge, color and formula documentation, home-care recommendations, rebooking and the many little details that make up a complete Salon Cheveux experience. They practice real-life salon scenarios, work through consultations, continue developing their technical skills and, most importantly, learn how to make the person sitting in their chair feel heard and comfortable.
The goal isn’t to know everything overnight. The goal is to keep learning — and to have the right people around you while you do it.
An Entire Team Behind the Chair
One of the biggest advantages of starting a career at Cheveux is the experience sitting just a few feet away.
Kaylee and Kylie spend time shadowing and learning alongside established Cheveux stylists, including Angela, getting an up-close look at what years behind the chair can teach you.
They watch consultations, color formulation, placement techniques, timing, finishing and problem-solving in real time. They can ask questions, talk through different approaches and, most importantly, learn the why behind the decisions being made.
Because hair is rarely one-size-fits-all. Every head of hair is different. Every guest has different goals. And sometimes the best education comes from standing next to someone who has encountered that situation before. With decades of combined experience on our team, there is a lot of knowledge to share — and at Salon Cheveux, we believe sharing it makes all of us better.
Education That Keeps Going
Shadowing our experienced team is only one piece of how our newer stylists continue to grow.
Before ever beginning their careers behind the chair, Kaylee and Kylie completed their cosmetology education and went through the testing and licensing process required to become licensed professionals. But earning a license isn't the end of their education — it's the beginning of putting it all into practice.
Beyond the education happening every day inside Salon Cheveux, they continue to invest in their craft through advanced classes, hands-on weekend workshops with industry professionals and education led by the luxury professional brands we work with. They’re learning new techniques, strengthening the fundamentals, expanding their product knowledge and staying current in an industry that never stops evolving.
They also go through our own Cheveux Experience education with Joel, learning the consultation process, service standards and guest experience that have shaped Salon Cheveux for more than 35 years.
So while they may be newer faces behind the chair, they aren't simply “fresh out of school.” They're licensed professionals actively working to fine-tune their craft.
And we think an important part of that growth is being willing to collaborate.
They may occasionally take a little more time with a service. They may ask another stylist to look at a formulation, join a consultation or talk through the best approach. That's not something we want them to avoid — it's something we encourage.
We'd rather have a stylist who asks questions, uses the experience around her and takes the time to get it right than one who feels like she has to know everything on day one.
We believe in Kaylee and Kylie. And we're giving them the education, mentorship and support to become the kind of stylists we know they can be.
Looking for a New Stylist?
Finding a new stylist can feel a little intimidating. You want someone who understands what you’re asking for, takes the time to listen and makes you feel comfortable trusting them with your hair. That’s one of the reasons we’re so excited for our guests to get to know Kaylee and Kylie. As they build their books at Cheveux, they often have more flexibility and appointment availability, while also having the benefit of working alongside an established team of stylists every day.
They’re bringing fresh education, current techniques and plenty of excitement to their work — while having experienced stylists nearby to collaborate with, learn from and ask questions.
It’s the best of both worlds: a stylist excited to build a relationship with you, backed by a team that wants both of you to feel confident.
So, which of our newest faces sounds like your match?
“I’ve always wanted to do hair ever since I was four years old. My passion came from growing up on a farm and having a pony with a very long tail that I could braid.” Today, Kaylee is especially interested in blonding, lived-in color, dimensional brunettes, cutting, styling and bridal hair, and she’s continuing to learn more about extensions and foil placement. Her ideal guest? “Just about anyone who overshares as much as me. I like to have fun.” So yes, you can absolutely tell her your entire life story while she does your highlights. Kaylee wants her chair to be comfortable, fun and a place where her guests can completely be themselves. Her goal is “to make you laugh and open up,” and when the appointment is over, she wants you walking out feeling “brand new.”
Kaylee describes herself as fun, kind and talkative — and becoming a hairstylist has quite literally been the plan since childhood. Outside the salon, Kaylee loves country music, summer, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.Kaylee might be your match if: you’re looking for blonding, dimensional or lived-in color, cuts or styling — and you want a stylist who’s social, easy to talk to and ready to make your appointment fun.
For Kylie, hairstyling brings together two things that have always been part of her life: beauty and creativity. Growing up as a dancer, she loved doing hair and makeup, while painting became another longtime creative outlet. Hairstyling eventually became the perfect way to combine art and beauty. Kylie describes herself as detail-oriented, personable and dependable. She’s especially interested in blonding, lived-in color, dimensional brunettes, extensions, long-layered cuts, styling, scalp health and healthy hair transformations. For Kylie, the consultation matters. Her goal is “to turn consultation into reality — where the style fits personality, goals and lifestyle, while making the process as enjoyable as the results.” She wants her guests to feel heard and supported while still getting that little bit of luxury and pampering that makes a salon appointment special. Her perfect description of the experience? “Luxury hair in a laid-back atmosphere.” And ultimately, she wants every guest to leave feeling “like the best version of themselves.”

She’s especially interested in blonding, lived-in color, dimensional brunettes, extensions, long-layered cuts, styling, scalp health and healthy hair transformations. Outside the salon, Kylie loves finding new coffee shops and restaurants, shopping and thrifting, painting, exploring parks and heading to the mountains whenever she can. She’s also a Jurassic Park fan and has three ducks named Penny, Waddles and Daisy. Kylie might be your match if: you appreciate a detailed consultation, dimensional color, healthy hair and a stylist who considers your lifestyle just as much as your inspiration photo.
